It has withstood the test of time and carries a rich history, waiting for you to explore! The Cangzhou Iron Lion was cast in the third year of the Guangshun era of the Later Zhou dynasty (953 AD). It is 5.5 meters tall, 6.3 meters long, 3 meters wide, and weighs 40 tons. It is the earliest and largest single-piece cast iron artifact known in China and the world. It was cast in sections using the "mud mold casting method," showcasing the superb craftsmanship and extraordinary wisdom of the ancient Chinese people. The iron lion is majestic, facing south, with a lotus basin on its back, wavy mane draped over its neck, mouth wide open, and limbs in a walking posture, as if ready to charge forward, exuding a dynamic beauty of strength and masculinity. The words "Lion King" are cast on its head and neck, the Diamond Sutra is cast inside its abdomen, the words "Cast in the third year of the Guangshun era of the Great Zhou" are cast on its right neck and side, and the words "Made by Li Yun of Shandong" are cast on its right rib. These inscriptions add to its mystery and historical value.
