The main campus of MIT is located on the north bank of the Charles River in Cambridge, Massachusetts, just across the river from Harvard University. MIT is a two-stop ride on the Red Line subway at Park Street in downtown Boston Common. MIT motto: Mens et Manus (Latin); Mind and Hand; use both hands and brain to create the world. As of 2024, MIT has 101 Nobel Prize winners. It’s really extraordinary! Every building at MIT has a number, and the most famous one is Building 10, the iconic Great Dome of MIT’s main main building. There is also the quirky Building 32. I heard that it is a temple for international hackers. It was built by modernist designer Frank Gehry. The designer said that it was inspired by a group of drunk robots partying together. MIT The Department of Computer Science, Language and Philosophy holds classes there! The campus of MIT has a strong academic atmosphere. Students are in a hurry and studying hard. It is not as crowded with tourists and merchants as Harvard University. Excessive commercialization may not be a good thing for many students.
