It took 14 years to complete and has a strong Turkish style. The outer wall is covered with yellow gypsum, which looks dirty from a distance but has its own special taste. The large dome of the prayer hall is about 52 meters high and 21 meters in diameter. The interior lighting is very gorgeous. You can overlook the whole city from the viewing platform when you leave the mosque. ▪️The mechanical clock on the clock tower in the mosque also has a story. It is said that when Ali was in power, King Louis Philippe of France asked Egypt for an obelisk. In 1831, Ali 'generously' gave an obelisk of Ramses II in the Luxor Temple to France. This obelisk still stands in the Place de la Concorde next to the Louvre. As a return gift, the King of France gave Egypt a mechanical clock. It is said that since this clock was moved here, it has never worked, and the Egyptians do not repair it, just leave it here. ▪️There are many people taking wedding photos in the backyard.
