The Sacred and Solemn Muhammad Ali Mosque on the Top of Cairo

On the Mokattam Hill in Cairo, inside the Saladin Citadel, the Muhammad Ali Mosque stands like a bright pearl, solemn and dignified. It was built in 1830 and took nearly 20 years to complete. On the west side, two Turkish-style minarets, 82 meters high, point to the sky, as if telling the world about the past glory and piety.
