#rafting I just got back from an exhilarating rafting trip in Cagayan de Oro, and it was an absolute blast! 🌊 If you’re looking for an adventure that combines thrills with the beauty of nature, this is it. Known as the “City of Golden Friendship,” Cagayan de Oro is famous for its white-water rafting, and it definitely lived up to the hype. We booked our rafting experience with a local outfitter, and it cost around ₱1,200 per person, which included all the gear, a guide, and transportation to and from the river. The guides were super professional and made sure everyone felt safe while also making the experience incredibly fun. They even threw in a few surprises, like spinning the raft in the middle of the rapids, which had us all laughing and screaming at the same time! The Cagayan de Oro River is stunning, surrounded by lush greenery and dramatic rock formations. The rapids range from beginner-friendly to more intense, so there’s something for everyone, whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned rafter. We hit about 14 rapids on our trip, and each one was a mix of adrenaline-pumping action and pure joy. 🚣♂️ One of the best parts was floating down the calmer sections of the river, where you could just lay back, take in the breathtaking scenery, and enjoy the moment. The guides also shared interesting stories about the local area, which added a cultural touch to the whole adventure. If you have extra time, there are other attractions nearby worth checking out, like the Mapawa Nature Park for some hiking or the Divine Mercy Shrine for a peaceful visit.
