Castle in the city

How often will you see a huge ruinous castle in the middle of a town? Well in Caerphilly you can. The largest castle in Wales this really does dominate the area and looms in the background. It's a beautiful walk, you can see the original walls from all angles and the grassy area and moat provides. There will be lots of ducks and geese around too. It's around a 20 minute circumference walk around the walls and it's very enjoyable The ruins themselves are very impressive. Huge thick stone walls, windows with slots in, drawbridge, flags.
