In the early morning in Kanas, I encountered the stunning Fairy Bay.

Winter is the perfect time to visit Altay and play in the snow! In November, 📍Kanas was hit by a snowstorm❄️, and it was breathtakingly beautiful😭! The experience was both shocking and charming, as if I were in a fairy tale world of ice and snow. It was the ultimate snow scene. What to wear in Xinjiang ① Choose a windproof and warm hat🧢, preferably one that covers your ears, or wear earmuffs, otherwise, you may get frostbite! ② Sunglasses are also a must-have, as the white snow can easily cause snow blindness. If you wear glasses, remember to switch to contact lenses, as the lenses can easily fog up. ③ Buy a thick scarf to keep warm and cover your mouth, or wear a warm mask. ④ Wear warm clothes, preferably with constant temperature, but not too thick, as it may affect your movement. 👚 Base layer: thermal underwear or thin fleece quick-drying clothes. It can be hot indoors with heating, so the base layer needs to be sweat-wicking and quick-drying. 🧶 Warm layer: thick sweater/fleece jacket/fleece sweatshirt, etc. 🧥 Windproof layer: down jacket or windbreaker (the outer layer should be windproof! If you play in the snow a lot, consider waterproof clothing) 🧤 Gloves: warm and waterproof! ⑤ Thermal pants + windproof and warm outer pants (cargo pants/thick fleece jeans) 🧦 Choose thick fleece socks, preferably wool socks. 👢 Shoes: high-top, waterproof, non-slip, and with strong grip! Day ②: Kanas - Northwest First Village - Kanas, enjoy the border scenery and Tuva villages. Day ③: Head to Hemu, enjoy the scenery along the way, visit Hemu Bridge, admire the beautiful peaks and birch forests, experience Tuva culture, and watch the starry sky at night. Day ④: Enjoy the morning mist in Hemu, then head to Devil City, admire the unique Yardang landform, and arrive in Karamay at night. Day ⑤: Depart from Karamay to Sayram Lake, admire the lake and mountains, check in to Sayram Lake, and enjoy the sunset and starry sky. Day ⑥: Tour around Sayram Lake, admire the scenery from different angles, then head to Kuitun, enjoy the scenery of the northern Tianshan Mountains along the way, and check in to Kuitun at night.
