Elephant Roundabout

"Elephant Roundabout" Buriram Province or "King Rama I Monument Roundabout" is considered an important landmark in Buriram Province. If anyone comes to visit Buriram Province, they should not miss it. Especially at night, the lights are very beautiful. Elephant Roundabout is located at the intersection of Buriram-Satuk Road. It was built to honor King Rama I, the founder of Buriram City. It is half the size of the real one and sits on the neck of a war elephant. #Waiting for the day to travel #Mr.Tourist #Waiting for the day to travel

Prasat Muang Tam is located in Ban Khok Muang, Chorakhe Mak Subdistrict, Prakhon Chai District, Buriram Province, approximately 64 kilometers south of the city center. It was built according to Hindu beliefs and is believed to have been built in the 16th-17th Buddhist century to honor Shiva. It is a religious site for the city or community. Prasat Muang Tam has a different design from other castles, with a large prang in the center and surrounded by smaller prangs at the four corners. It is a group of five brick castles, located on the same laterite, arranged in two rows in a north-south direction. There are three in the front row, with the middle one being larger than the other prangs. The back row has two brick prangs, positioned between the spaces of the three prangs in the first row, allowing all five prangs to be seen at the same time without one obstructing the view. The word Muang Tam is not the original name, but the name the locals gave to this ancient site, because this castle is located on flat ground, while Prasat Phanom Rung is located on the foot of a hill. Both Prasat Muang Tam and Prasat Phanom Rung are not far apart. It is only 8 kilometers apart. In addition, some materials from the ancient site and antiques of Prasat Muang Tam, His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej brought them to be components in making amulets called "Phra Somdej Chitlada". Prasat Muang Tam Components inside Prasat Muang Tam Sala Khot Four ponds surrounding the khot are L-shaped and built with laterite as steps leading down to the bottom of the pond. The upper edges of the ponds are carved with sandstone into the body of a naga, while the corners of the ponds are carved into five-headed nagas. These four ponds are used for religious ceremonies. The ponds surrounding the main castle represent the four oceans surrounding Mount Sumeru according to the Brahmin beliefs mentioned earlier. They are ponds at right angles in all four directions. It is assumed that they were used to store water for religious ceremonies. Another important highlight is the naga on the edges of the four ponds, which are bald-headed nagas without halos, which is truly Bapuan art. The naga has no tail. The end of the naga has a head that is lowered at the head and tail. Carved eight-petal lotus flower On the floor in the middle of the room inside the eastern doorway, there is a carving of 8-inverted lotus flower lines, which may mean the point of determination for praying to the gods or means a simulation of the diagram of the wheel. #Winter is approaching Bangkok
