Bei Gong Cha Ying at Bukit Mertajam: A Bubble Tea Haven

#favouriteitinerary Bei Gong Cha Ying in Bukit Mertajam is a bubble tea lover’s paradise! This charming spot offers an extensive menu of refreshing drinks, from classic milk teas to innovative fruit blends. I couldn’t resist their signature Pearl Milk Tea—creamy, perfectly sweetened, and loaded with chewy tapioca pearls. The cozy, modern vibe made it a great place to relax and catch up with friends. The friendly staff and quick service added to the pleasant experience. Whether you’re craving a classic favorite or eager to try something new, Bei Gong Cha Ying is a must-visit for a delightful bubble tea break in Bukit Mertajam! #BeiGongChaYing #BukitMertajam #BubbleTeaLove #TeaTime #RefreshmentStation #ExploreBM #BubbleTeaHeaven #TravelAndSip #LocalFavorites #CoolTreats

JAROD CAFE

#mytraveldiary Checked out Jarod Café recently, and the first thing that stood out wasn’t even the coffee — it was the space. The café has a really nice aesthetic, clean and modern but not too sterile, with just enough warmth to make you feel comfortable. It’s the kind of spot that looks good from every angle, the type you’d want to sit in for a while, whether it’s to get some work done, read, or just hang out with a friend. The vibe is laid-back, and you can tell they put effort into creating a space people actually want to be in. Now, coffee wise — I’d rate it around a 6.5/10 for specialty. It’s above average, no doubt, and you can taste that they’re using decent beans with a proper brew. Smooth, balanced, enjoyable, but it doesn’t quite hit that top-tier level where the flavors really shine through or surprise you. If you’ve been around a lot of specialty coffee places, you’d probably feel the same — it’s good, but not in the “I need to come back tomorrow for another cup” category. Still, it’s solid enough that you won’t feel short-changed, and it pairs nicely with the atmosphere. The service here is friendly and casual, which fits the whole vibe. You don’t get the overly polished, scripted type of interaction — just genuine, down-to-earth service that makes you feel welcome. Small details like that add to the overall experience. Would I come back? Definitely. Maybe not purely for the coffee, but for the whole package. Sometimes a café doesn’t need to be the absolute best in one area — when the space, service, and coffee all come together at a decent level, it becomes a spot you’d recommend. Jarod Café feels like one of those low-key gems that isn’t trying too hard, but ends up being the kind of place you’re glad you stumbled across. Worth checking out if you’re nearby.
