The Central Market (Nagycsarnok) in Budapest is a large indoor market. Its Gothic entrance, dominated by deep orange and tangerine colors, could easily mistake it for an opera or concert hall. Opened in 1897, it boasts a history of nearly 130 years. A tram stop is located right outside the market, making it extremely convenient to reach. The indoor market is famous for its produce, handicrafts, dried fruits and spices, daily necessities, chocolate, refrigerator magnets, postcards, and local delicacies. The market has three floors. The basement and first floor primarily sell food, while the second floor houses handicrafts and restaurants. It's a must-visit in Budapest, perfect for a bite to eat and a souvenir to take home. ❗ ⭐ The paprika here is quite famous, and I highly recommend it. Hungarian paprika is said to be among the best in the world. The packaging is also different, with options for tin and cloth packaging (which also comes with a small wooden spoon).
