#EuropeanChristmas When it comes to Christmas, the Grand Place Square in Brussels is one of the places worth visiting. This square was built around the 12th century. It is a large square in the heart of the old town of Brussels and is the most important tourist attraction of the city. It is also registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This square is surrounded by preserved buildings that are a mix of Western art. But it is different from the Market Squares of other cities in Europe in that there is no church. But the most important and prominent building here is The Town Hall, built in the Brabant Gothic style. It has a highlight of a tall tower, decorated with a statue of the angel Michael and a dragon. Next to it is the Tourist Information Center. Other buildings around the square are various Guild houses and of course there are many shops and restaurants. It is very pleasant to walk around and see. Normally, this square is beautiful when going during the day. It is even more beautiful when going during Christmas when the Christmas tree and the Nativity scene are decorated. At night, it is even more exciting because from Christmas to New Year, this place is decorated with bright lights. There is also a spectacular light and sound show with lasers projected onto the Town Hall building, telling different stories with thunderous music every hour.
