Brisbane is the capital of Queensland, Australia, is located in the northeastern part of Australia. The Sunshine Coast on the north edge, and the international tourist attraction Gold Coast City in the south. The name of Brisbane originated from the name of the colonial governor of New South Wales in the colonial era. A river was discovered here and named the Brisbane River to commemorate the then Governor of the Union, Thomas McDoug Brisbane. The city is therefore named.
