It was built during the Shunzhi period of the Qing Dynasty by merchants from Shanxi and Shaanxi, hence also known as the Shan-Shaanxi Guild Hall🏚️🏚️. The architectural art of the guild hall mainly features local opera themes, thus the name Huaxi Building💅💅. ♻️♻️The brick carvings of Huaxi Building are exquisite and lifelike, showcasing the micro-carving art of the Jin school to the fullest🧜‍♀️🧜‍♀️. The wood carvings use the long-lost folk technique of "one color three sets flat coating", which is bright in color and remains fresh over time💃💃.
