The Grand Canyon Travel Itinerary

The Grand Canyon is a monumental natural wonder known for its immense size and colorful landscape. If you’re looking to experience breathtaking vistas, unique geological formations, and a range of outdoor activities, here’s your brief travel itinerary: Route planning You’ll start your journey from Flagstaff or Las Vegas. The South Rim of the Grand Canyon is the most accessible point and is open year-round whereas the North Rim opens seasonally. You can drive or take a shuttle bus from Flagstaff or Las Vegas to the canyon. Accommodation Depending on your preference, you may opt to accommodate in the lodges inside the park or hotels in nearby towns like Tusayan. Keep in mind that the lodges inside the park generally charge higher. Pre-trip preparation It is recommended to reserve accommodation and campsites well in advance since they tend to be crowded around the year. Pack water, sun protection, sturdy hiking shoes, and layers for variable weather. Scenic spots Some recommended scenic spots include Mather Point, Bright Angel Trail, and Yavapai Observation Station. Reference costs Park entry costs USD35 per vehicle for a 7-day pass. Precautions Be prepared for sudden changes in weather, especially at high elevations. Also, stay on designated trails and maintain a safe distance from the rim. Ticket booking guidelines Book park lodges and campsites through the official National Park Service website. If you’re looking for overnight backcountry hiking, permits are required. They are available online. Visa Guidelines If you’re a non-U.S. visitor, check visa requirements for the United States. Also, visitors from Visa Waiver Program countries need an ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization). #GrandCanyon #Arizona #NaturalWonder #ColoradoRiver #VisitArizona #NationalParksUSA #CanyonViews #HikingAdventures #SunsetViews #GrandCanyonNationalPark

Hoover Dam

Hoover Dam - Nevada and Arizona border This dam is also one of the interesting attractions during the trip. As an important public facility located on the border of two states, tourists visiting here are not allowed to bring hard suitcases, and we had to deposit our suitcases at the hotel in Vegas before we came. Along the visitor center, you can walk to the trail to view the dam. It looks quite long. We walked for about 5 minutes but didn’t finish it. There is a sign marking the border between two states along the way. If one person stands on one side, he or she can take a photo that makes the scene seem so close yet so far away. There are also small tombstones of former working dogs on the road, which give you a sense of the hard work of the workers who built the dam. #hooverdam #nevada #arizona
