The best part? It’s free to visit, and you can spend as much time as you like admiring the intricate details of the fountain, from Neptune himself to the surrounding bronze figures. Bologna is a city full of history, and the fountain sits perfectly between Piazza Maggiore and the iconic Two Towers, which are just a short walk away. After admiring Neptune, I strolled through the historic streets, stopping by the nearby Basilica di San Petronio, which is equally stunning and also free to enter. Bologna’s energy is unbeatable, and this fountain is the perfect starting point for exploring the city’s rich culture.
