I've seen Sayram Lake in summer, but I was still amazed by its winter beauty. The ice floes, morning mist, and snow blown by the wind are stunning. The sky turns from gold to pink to blue in the evening, a flowing feast of pure beauty that leaves you speechless. It's just too cold by the lake, and the wind makes your nose run. Be sure to dress warmly. Xinjiang is less crowded and more affordable in the off-season. After visiting Sayram Lake, I have no regrets in life. ❗ 📍Address: In the northern Tianshan Mountains in Bole City, Bortala Mongol Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang. 🚘Self-driving: Follow the Lianhuo Expressway and navigate to the east or south gate of the scenic area. It's easy to drive in the scenic area, and you can stop and take photos at any time. 🕙Opening hours: 10:00–19:00 🎫Tickets: Around CNY 145 (including admission and shuttle bus) 🏠Accommodation: Convenient outside the east gate of the scenic area 🌀Route: 92 km around the lake, enter and exit through the east gate. Since it gets dark late, it's recommended to spend 2 days here. It doesn't matter if you go clockwise or counterclockwise. 🌈Recommended attractions 1️⃣Santai Grassland Ice floes are not available every day, and their location will change. They may appear here. 2️⃣Fengfan Creek Check in at the "Sayram Lake" stone tablet. The stones by the lake nearby are covered with ice and look beautiful. 3️⃣Film and TV City There is a hot air balloon to take photos with. 4️⃣Dianjiangtai The large ice blocks by the lake are very beautiful. 5️⃣Swan Water Park I didn't see any swans, but there are giant ice waterfall sculptures to take photos with. 6️⃣West Sea Grassland There are many swans here. 7️⃣Keleyongzhu Navigate to 📍Xiaruqingchuan Campground, park your car by the road, and walk to the lake. I took photos of ice floes here. 8️⃣Lighthouse The afternoon light is great, and the lake water looks like a sapphire. 9️⃣S Bend The light is good in the morning, but you can take photos of the golden mountains and pink hour in the afternoon. Sayram Lake is at a high altitude, and some people may experience altitude sickness. Avoid strenuous exercise when you first arrive, and bring medicine for altitude sickness. 2. Respect local customs and religious beliefs, protect the environment, and dispose of trash properly. 3. The scenic area is large, and you may spend a long time here. Bring a power bank to keep your phone charged so you don't miss any photo opportunities.
