"Kaiguo School" on the Water

Da Ping Po Water Building, a European-style building bathed in the ripples of time, lies quietly in the embrace of Daliang Village, Bobai County. This water villa was built in 1912 by Li Shenxi, a returned overseas Chinese from Daliang Village, and his two elder brothers. The water building is not only the only European-style attic building in Bobai, but also the cradle of cultural enlightenment - the birthplace of "Kaiguo School", which nurtured a generation of talents such as Wang Li. The pavilions and terraces are half immersed in the blue waves, elegant and magnificent. The scientific, artistic and historical value of Da Ping Po Water Building makes it a cultural symbol of Bobai.
