Yulin Bobai County Dapingpo Water Building, built in 1912, is said to be built on water to resist the plague. The owner of the building, Li Shenxi, was a scholar in the late Qing Dynasty. He founded a new school and served as the principal in this building. At that time, there was a young man named Wang Li who taught here. Although he only graduated from elementary school, he was very studious and knowledgeable. Li Shenxi found that he was a talent and sponsored him to study in Shanghai. Wang Li entered Shanghai South University in 1924, entered Tsinghua University Institute of Chinese Studies in 1926, studied at the University of Paris in France in 1927, and later became a famous linguist in China, one of the founders of modern linguistics in China.
