Kotor Fjord

A fjord is a geographical concept, referring to a special landform formed by seawater flooding into a canyon. Kotor Fjord is located in the southwest of Montenegro on the Adriatic Sea and is one of the most beautiful fjords in the world. The Kotor Fjord is interwoven by four bays surrounded by two land masses, forming a deep fjord shaped like a butterfly. The narrowest part is only 340 meters, with towering peaks on both sides reaching up to 1500 meters, and a length of 32 kilometers. The bay is composed of several small bays connected by narrow passages, making it a natural sheltered harbor and one of the best natural ports in Europe. At the same time, it is also the most beautiful fjord in Southern Europe and a highly attractive tourist resort in Montenegro. The natural scenery of Kotor Fjord is clear and bright, surrounded by mountains, with deep and blue seawater that can accommodate large cruise ships.
