Exploring German Castles

Although it's not very famous, Sparrenburg Castle is about a 20-30 minute walk from Bielefeld Station. It's a symbol of Bielefeld and is located on a hilltop. The view from the old castle was beautiful, overlooking the whole town. As you can see in the photo, there were hardly any people around, so you could take a leisurely stroll. The castle itself seems to have been built in the 13th century.
