Visit the Piyamit Tunnel and see the thousand-year-old tree @ Betong

Piyamit Tunnel Located at Ban Piyamit 1, Tambon Tano Marae, using the same route as the hot spring and Inthasorn Waterfall, but 4 kilometers further from the hot spring, Piyamit Tunnel was once used as a base for hiding and as a place to store supplies for the political conflict groups in the Malay Peninsula. Later, after the fighting ended, the group that used to use this tunnel for shelter no longer remained. However, the rooms and traces that they used before were left behind and recorded for the next generation to study and remember the painful past of fighting. Inside the tunnel, it is decorated in a soft yellow-orange color, but it also reminds us of the past. The tunnel is divided into different rooms or compartments according to their use, such as bedrooms and storage rooms. The air inside is cool. The tunnel exit is in the middle of the forest. There are many exits, but they can be walked to meet each other. Inside the forest, there is a very large tree trunk, approximately 1,000 years old, which is a surprise for visitors.
