Belgrade Fortress is the core and the oldest section of the urban area of Belgrade. For centuries, the city population was concentrated only within the walls of the fortress, and thus the history of the fortress, until most recent times, reflects the history of Belgrade itself. It's a huge space, the castle, parks all around castle, a zoo at the bottom of the street, tennis courts, museums in the castle, bars, pubs in the castle, hidden spots... There are amazing views from the top the bottom and photo shooting spots. Basically there is always something for everyone out there to relax, to play chess, to run around, to have picnic.
