Yuyuantan Cherry Blossom Viewing Guide (Just Back from March 29)

The cherry blossoms at Yuyuantan are now in full bloom, making it the best place in Beijing to view cherry blossoms. As soon as you enter the park, you will be greeted by a riot of colors that will dazzle your eyes, and you won't be able to stop taking photos. However, there are a lot of people, so you need to plan ahead to have an enjoyable experience. Tips: 1. Buy tickets on the official website a week in advance. Tickets sell out very quickly, especially weekend tickets. Adult tickets are CNY 10/person, and the park opens at 6:00 am. 2. If you come early in the morning, it is recommended to enter from the East Gate and exit from the West Gate for the best lighting. Conversely, if you come in the evening, enter from the West Gate and exit from the East Gate for the best lighting. 3. Try to come early or late. According to actual tests, there are a lot of people after 8:30 am, and the shooting effect is poor. We entered the park at 6:30 am, just as the sun was rising. 4. The best photo spots are: Zai Shui Yi Fang, Yushu Linfeng, and Zaochun Bao Ying. As for the cherry blossom path, I personally feel that the Friendship Cherry Blossom Forest in the West Gate is better than the Yingbin Road in the East Gate. 5. We entered from the West Gate and exited from the East Gate, which took three hours because we wanted to take pictures. Yingbin Road in the East Gate is a one-way street after 9:00 am, and you can only walk from east to west.
