Wandering around Jingyi Garden and visiting Senyuhu——

🌄🏞Today, I came down from Xianglu Peak and took the Zhonglu forest path down the mountain. I turned right at the fork in the road above Yanyue Pavilion and took the dirt road towards the small pavilion on the top of Senyuhu Peak, intending to explore Senyuhu. 🚶‍♂🌳 🏰📜Senyuhu was first built in the tenth year of Emperor Qianlong's reign (1745) in the Qing Dynasty, and was expanded in the twenty-seventh year of Emperor Qianlong's reign (1762). It is a complex of buildings consisting of Chaoran Hall, Kuanglan Terrace, Bifeng Pavilion, Shengting and other buildings. It is one of the twenty-eight scenes in Jingyi Garden. 🏛📅 🏞🌄Senyuhu is located in the southwest of Xiangshan Park, southeast of Xiyang'a, and southwest of Qiuyue Cliff. There is a narrow and steep cliff in the valley. The stone is green, just like a jade hut facing the sky. 🌳🌊 🪄🏰This green cliff, which is more than 40 meters high, looks very much like the tablets in the hands of ancient ministers when they went to court, so Emperor Qianlong named this building complex "Senyu Hu". 👑🏞 🌳🏞There is an octagonal pavilion on the top of the Senyuhu cliff. From here, you can overlook the city of Beijing to the east, and look up to the top of Xianglu Peak to the northwest. It faces Xiyang'a across the valley. In autumn, it is the best place to see the red leaves in Xiangshan Park. 🍁👀 👣🪨There is a rather steep path on the east and west sides of the pavilion on the top of the mountain, leading to the Senyuhu building complex at the foot of the mountain. Today we went down the mountain from the west side and walked down to the valley through the very difficult stone steps. 🧗‍♂🌳 🖌🏞There are some stone carvings near the cliff of Senyuhu, which is also a major feature of the Senyuhu landscape. On the way, there is a stone carving of "Ming Chi" signed by "Liaodong Sanren". This was inscribed by Chen Xingya, who served as the commander of the Beiping gendarmerie and the commander of the Northeast gendarmerie in 1932. 📜🖋 🧔‍♂🏞This Chen Xingya was not only a general, but also a strange man who loved traveling. After the fall of Northeast China, he lived in Beijing and visited ancient capitals and historical sites. Wherever he went, he would write inscriptions and carve stones. There are several traces of his calligraphy on Xiangshan Mountain. 🖌🏰 🏞📜For example, the "Tianji Peak" stone carving on the cliff of Guijianchou, the "Liaotian Changwang" stone carving on the north side of the ditch west of Xishan Qingxue Monument, the "Tingfasong" stone carving under the Tingfasong of Xiangshan Temple, and the "Fenghuiluzhuan" stone carving at the bend of the winding mountain road on the northwest side of Yuhuaxiu. 🌲🧗‍♂ 🪄🏞In Senyuhu, Chen Xingya wrote two stone carvings. One is the "Ming Shame" on the roadside, which expresses the depressed mood of the people in Northeast China after the September 18th Incident. The other is the "Medicine Stone" high on the cliff. It is said that he believed that the cliff of Senyuhu was helpful for recuperation. 💊🌳 🕋🌳Continue walking a short distance and you can see a stone carving of the word "Buddha". I don't know who wrote it. Next to it is the gate of Sen Yu Hu. Opposite the gate is a cliff with the stone carving of "Sen Yu Hu" written by Emperor Qianlong. Next to it is also a poem by Xiong Xiling, the director of Xiangshan Charity Home. 📜🖋 🔥🏰In 1860, Jingyi Garden was looted and burned by the British and French forces, and the Senyu Hu was also destroyed, leaving only the ruins. Later, Xiangshan Park was rebuilt on the original site in 2020, but it has not yet been open to the public. 🏛🚧 👀🌳However, we can see the scene inside the courtyard through the low wall. The building complex is built against the mountain, with Shengting and Bifeng Pavilion above. Now all the rooms are vacant. 🏠🌄 🧗‍♂🌳Go around from outside the courtyard to the other side of the building complex, pass the Chaoran Hall below, go up along the stone steps to a place with a wide view, and you can see a very tall ancient tree in the Kuanglantai courtyard. 🌳🌳 👣🪨This stone staircase is the road on the east side of the pavilion at the top of Senyuhu Peak. You can go back to the top of the peak by going up the stone steps. 🧗‍♂🌄 🏞🙏In recent years, Xiangshan Park has repaired and rebuilt several Jingyi Garden landscapes, such as Xiyang'a, Yuxiang Pavilion, Furongping, etc. I hope that Senyuhu can also be opened to the public as soon as possible. 🌸🎉
