Near Qianmen | Sai Jinhua Teahouse

To be precise, near Shaanxi Alley, there is a Sai Jinhua Teahouse with dragon carvings. 🟢 Yushu Alley | Located on the north side of Zhushikou West Street, it starts from Shaanxi Alley in the west and is not open to traffic in the east, with a total length of 66m. During the Republic of China, it was called Yushu Courtyard. In 1965, when Beijing reorganized street names, it was renamed Yushu Alley. The famous courtesan and chivalrous woman Sai Jinhua's "Qiaxiangyuan" was located at No. 1 Xinmenpai. The original building is still well-preserved and has been converted into a residential building. 🟢 No. 1 Yushu Alley | The former site of "Yixiangyuan" is now called "No. 1 Yushu Alley Teahouse." "Teahouse," in the old days, was a second-class entertainment venue, second only to Qingyin Xiaoban, and also a relatively high-end entertainment place. The two-story building here faces west and is made of brick and wood. There is a veranda in front, and the roof is a wooden truss. It's unclear what the interior looks like, but the brick carvings here are rich and exquisite; the plain colored hanging flower columns are also very special. It is now a registered cultural relic in Xicheng District. Sai Jinhua's cenotaph was once on a small mound near Cibi Temple in Taoranting Park, but it is certainly gone now. However, there are three stone carvings related to her here, which you can see if you have the opportunity.
