Peach blossoms are in full bloom, creating a romantic stroll along the West Dike.

Last year on this day, I was lying in a hospital bed undergoing surgery, unable to set foot in the sea of flowers on the West Dike. Today, on the Spring Equinox, Mother Nature has gifted us a beautiful sunny day. Admiring the mountain peach blossoms on the West Dike is a must! Entering through the South Ruyi Gate and exiting through the West Palace Gate is the best route for me to stroll along the West Dike and enjoy the flowers, considering my fractured leg still has a steel plate and screws. The Summer Palace, with its inherent beauty as a royal garden, is a natural blessing for Beijingers to enjoy spring. I missed it last year, so I'm making up for it this year! On the Spring Equinox, stepping into spring, admiring the flowers, embracing the season, and breathing in the fresh air—what a pleasant time.
