❤️Took the kids to experience Peking Opera culture for the first time, and they were amazed. 👍🏻Not only did the kids learn something, but the adults did too. 📝Process: 1️⃣Visit to the Peking Opera Museum I'd passed by Liuxiang Coffee before and wanted to try it this time, but it was closed. The staff said it should be renovated and reopened before May Day. First, the teacher gave the kids an introduction to Peking Opera culture, its history, character roles, costumes, headdresses, etc. The older kids were very interactive, while the younger ones were less interested, but the parents learned a lot. 2️⃣Peking Opera Lecture + Documentary Screening We took the kids to the Tianle Theater. The teacher first gave a lecture, then we watched a documentary. The teacher interacted with the kids and kept them engaged. 3️⃣Live Peking Opera Performance by Professional Actors Two actors performed Peking Opera pieces for us. First, there was a wonderful spear fight, then they each showcased their specialties. The kids cheered, and finally, they were divided into boys' and girls' groups to continue the experience with their respective teachers. 4️⃣Exquisite Peking Opera Costume Experience The kids looked so cute in the costumes, taking photos everywhere. The teacher even helped adjust the length of the costumes to prevent tripping, which was very thoughtful and patient. 5️⃣Hands-on Peking Opera Lesson with Professional Actors The kids went to a classroom. My son joined the boys' group and learned postures and a few simple lines from the male teacher. Finally, the teacher taught them how to wield a spear. The younger kids practiced with sticks. The kids were very focused and experienced the hard work involved, saying they were tired after practicing for a while. 🉑I think it's more suitable for children over 6 years old. My son is four and a half, a little young, but it was still a fun experience. It's not about learning everything, but at least introducing them to this kind of culture. Tips: 1.
