👉Jinshui River, commonly known as Tongzi River or the moat, is located at Donghuamen in Dongcheng District, Beijing. It is divided into Inner Jinshui River and Outer Jinshui River. The Inner Jinshui River flows in front of the Gate of Supreme Harmony in the Forbidden City, and the Outer Jinshui River flows in front of Tiananmen Square. According to the *History of Yuan Dynasty*, its source is from Yuquan Mountain in Wanping County, West Beijing, and flows into the capital city through the south water gate of Heyi Gate, hence the name Jinshui. It is open all day, year-round. 🌈Walk from Donghuamen along the Tongzi River, along the outer edge of the Forbidden City, all the way to Meridian Gate.
