Miniature landscape in a building

The China Garden Museum is the first national-level museum in China with a garden theme. It is located in Fengtai, at the foot of Ying Mountain and by the Yongding River. It covers an area of 65,000 square meters and has a building area of 49,950 square meters. It adopts a layout of a front hall and a back garden. The central axis reflects the characteristics of the royal garden in the capital with a golden roof and red walls. The two sides express the symbols of private gardens in the south with white walls and gray tiles. The front of the building is like a long scroll of traditional Chinese landscape painting. There are 6 permanent exhibition halls, 4 temporary exhibition halls, 3 indoor exhibition gardens, and 3 scenic gardens in the outdoor exhibition area.
