Yuanmingyuan Park Yuanmingyuan Park is made up of three gardens: Yuanmingyuan, Changchunyuan, and Qichunyuan. Together, they are known as the Three Gardens of Yuanmingyuan, and are a model of imperial gardens. Western Mansions: The only place in Yuanmingyuan Park with ruins, the Western Mansions were built by Emperor Qianlong in the north of Changchunyuan. All other buildings in the Three Gardens of Yuanmingyuan have been destroyed, leaving only the vegetation of the past century. Dashuifa: The iconic ruins of Yuanmingyuan Park, originally built by Emperor Qianlong as a residence for Consort Xiang. There is a fountain in front of the building, but now only the ruins and a water pit remain. Guanshuifa: Located opposite Dashuifa, this was the imperial seat from which Emperor Qianlong watched the fountain. The stone screen on the high platform is still intact, and is engraved with Western artillery. Haiyantang: The famous fountain with the twelve zodiac animal heads is located at the front of the building, while a large reservoir for the Western Mansions is located at the back. Xieqiqu: The first European-style building built by Emperor Qianlong in Yuanmingyuan Park, with a fountain at the entrance. Yuanyingguan: A place of worship built by Emperor Qianlong for Consort Xiang. Huanghuazhen: The only reconstructed landscape. Don't go in lightly, as it takes at least half an hour to get out. Changchunyuan: A masterpiece of imperial garden planning by Emperor Qianlong after he took over Yuanmingyuan Park, and a retirement garden built for himself. Panorama Model of Yuanmingyuan Park: Located near East Gate 3, this model shows a panoramic view of Yuanmingyuan Park at its peak, with audio commentary. However, the model is old and the lighting effects are average, so it's better to buy a full ticket and explore the park!
