Beijing Xuannan Cultural Museum is located in Changchun Temple, No. 9 Changchun Street, Xicheng District. Basic Information • Opening hours: Wednesday to Sunday 9:00–16:30 (last admission at 16:00), closed on Monday and Tuesday. During summer vacation (July 13–August 31), open until 18:30 on Saturday and Sunday. • Ticket information: No reservation is required for individual visitors, free admission. • Transportation: Take Metro Line 2 to Changchun Street Station, Exit C1; Line 19 to Niujie Station, Exit B; Line 7 to Guang'anmennei Station, Exit B, then walk to the museum. Venue Overview • Changchun Temple was built in the 20th year of the Wanli period of the Ming dynasty (1592) by the order of Emperor Shenzong of the Ming dynasty for his biological mother, Empress Dowager Xiaoding Li. It was known as the "First Temple in Beijing" at that time. • The museum breaks the traditional way of displaying cultural relics, pictures, and text materials by restoring and creating typical scenes. Exhibitions • Basic exhibition: "Sound of Wind, Sound of Rain, Sound of Reading - Beijing Xuannan Scholar History and Culture Exhibition", showing the humanistic spirit of the Xuannan scholar group in the Qing dynasty. • Exhibition halls: There are exhibition halls such as Xuannan, Xuannan Scholar, Heroic Footprints, Liyuan Scenery, Southern City Paradise, Century-old Business, National Unity, Xuannan Cultural Protection and Development Achievements, etc.
