Li Zicheng's Horse Tethering Tree.

Horse Tethering Tree Species: Ginkgo Family: Ginkgoaceae Number: 11010801952 (Level 1) Scientific name: Ginkgo biloba L. Planted around the end of the Yuan dynasty and the beginning of the Ming dynasty, the tree has a circumference of 8.1 meters and a crown covering an area of about 330 square meters. Every late autumn, the tree and the ground beneath it turn golden yellow, creating a beautiful scene. Legend has it that before Li Zicheng attacked Beijing, he passed by this place. As it was getting late, Li Zicheng tied his horse to this tree to avoid disturbing the locals and camped under its crown. Later generations called this tree the "Horse Tethering Tree."
