Being Alone at the Great Wall of China

We are so thankful for the experience we had today. Before we came to China, we were worried about how we could travel around without knowing the language. But since we arrived, everything has been manageable with the help of a translator. We managed to go to the Mutianyu Great Wall a day earlier and stayed there overnight. The next morning, we were so early that we were the first ones to take the cable car up. When we arrived, we walked to Tower 23 and had a stunning view. Besides a few people (5), we had the whole wall to ourselves. It was a remarkable experience, and we highly recommend everyone to come early because after an hour, the first tourist groups started to arrive. (We were there at 7:30 am)
