Visit Shichahai, Nanluoguxiang, Bird's Nest, Water Cube, etc.

As the title suggests, the tour was actually a rush, so it was mainly about checking in. I didn't arrive at Shichahai until around 6 pm. It felt a bit like Suzhou Zhouzhuang, which I had visited before. The scenery was indeed beautiful, but it felt a bit commercial. Due to the time constraints, I didn't walk around much. I came out and scanned a bike to go directly to Nanluoguxiang. Needless to say, it's basically a snack street, similar to Beijing Dashilar. As it was already past 7 pm, I found a popular restaurant in the middle of Nanluoguxiang and had a bowl of old Beijing Zhajiangmian. Then I rushed to the Bird's Nest by subway. When I arrived at the Bird's Nest, I chose a sightseeing bus at the entrance (30 yuan/person). After everyone was on board, the sightseeing bus took us on a tour. We basically went around the Bird's Nest first, with a small tour guide on the bus explaining things to us. Then we were taken to the Water Cube, where we could walk around freely. When we were done, we could come back to this place and get on the bus to return to the starting point. It was very convenient and saved a lot of energy [Grin]. The Bird's Nest and Water Cube are self-explanatory. They were built for the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Now, they host other major events and commercial performances.
