Although Li Bai was talking about Mount Tianmu, the Miyun Reservoir surprisingly allowed me to witness one of Beijing's top 'sea views' with my own eyes, making the trip worthwhile. 📍Location: Yunlongjian Scenic Area 🎫Tickets: 30 RMB/person (0 RMB with Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Tourism Card) 🚡Cable Car: 60 RMB one-way/person 🅿️Parking Fee: 5 RMB ⌛️Cable car ride up takes about 20 minutes, hiking down takes about 2 hours. We arrived at 2 PM, took the cable car up the mountain, and after enjoying the sea view at the top, we started hiking down at 3 PM, finally reaching the foot of the mountain at 5 PM. There's only one mountain path, so you won't get lost. After descending, we went to a nearby popular farmhouse restaurant to enjoy a delicious meal of stove fish. To our surprise, many celebrities have dined here too. 👍🏻 The lychee fish balls here are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, with a sweet and salty taste. Highly recommended. 🌟Tips 1️⃣ The cable car ride is quite thrilling, passing through two canyons and climbing a vertical slope. It sways when the wind blows, and I've heard it stops operating in strong winds, so it's best to visit on a sunny day. 2️⃣ The mountain path is difficult to walk, with alternating stone and iron steps and a steep slope. If you're with elderly or children, take the cable car instead of hiking. 3️⃣ There are many shaded areas, so it's not sunny and quite cool, but you'll sweat a lot while climbing. Don't wear too much.
