Wearing blue clothes to UCCA is my wisest choice this summer! It's too good to be true~ I have been to 798 Art Center many times before but never came in, mostly because I was misled by the name "UCCA Center for Contemporary Art". I thought it was not very down-to-earth. But after coming in, I immediately reflected on myself: This is a place that ordinary people like me can also come to! ! This is an art museum that is friendly to art novices. 👉Transportation location: In 798 Art District, take the subway to Wangjing South, then ride a small bike for 10 minutes to arrive If I hadn’t looked at the introduction on the wall, I really wouldn’t have realized that UCCA Center for Contemporary Art was a product of 2007? The Ullens Museum is a 17-year-old art museum and one of the first contemporary art institutions in Beijing. Its overall sense of fashion is very up-to-date, and international friends often stop by to visit and communicate. The artistic atmosphere is super max~ This is actually a huge art complex. In addition to being able to see several exhibitions at the same time, there are many cultural things to do: there are coffee shops and shops on the first floor; there are bookstores and children's spaces on the second floor; there is no need to go in and out under the sun, it is a great place to spend time on the weekends~ 👉Tickets for the exhibition on the first floor: 3 exhibitions per ticket, 100 for adults🎫 180 for couples 🎫 60 for students, the elderly and other preferential groups 🎫 Children under 1.2 meters are free to visit 1️⃣The largest exhibition: Lawrence Weiner x The Pursuit of Happiness ⏰7.20-10.20 “Language Sculpture” works That is to say, the art center’s large Bauhaus factory from the 1950s has such conditions. Otherwise, if any exhibition hall were left alone, these “languages” would not have the visual sense of “sculptures”. This exhibition is my favorite. Some people say it is made with PPT, and some people say it is a big-character poster. But I think it allows everyone in it to understand and empathize. Isn’t this the purpose of art? 2️⃣Small Exhibition: Liang Hao x Bu Xu ⏰5.18-9.8 Works made by female artists sawing It is divided into two parts, logs and plaster. Each sculpture is sawed out by Liang Hao with a saw. Every sculpture that is difficult to understand seems to make people feel like they are in a fantasy. The works make you think, and I hope everyone can have different opinions. 3️⃣Small exhibition: Miguel Angel Payano x Wu-Wu ⏰5.18-9.8 Sculptures built from paintings Color, shape, composition, a new "heavy collage" art form, using sculptural elements to make the content jump out of the canvas, it's amazing~ In summary, this is my real experience, and you are welcome to inquire at any time. Maybe you don’t understand art very well like me, but occasionally coming here to soak in it may inspire our understanding of life.
