The Beijing Sofitel Hotel we are sharing today is located at Jianguomen, taken over by Accor after the former W Hotel was de-branded. Room Review: The illustrated rooms are the hotel's Supreme Suite and Club King Room types. The Supreme Suite has a very high ceiling, and its corner position gives it a 270-degree view. The entire living room has an excellent view, with no high-rise buildings in sight. The living room is very spacious, with a sofa, desk, and tea table. The bedroom area is also quite large, and the bedside decorative lights can be adjusted according to the room's color palette. The room has removed the partition for the bathroom area, with the bathtub serving as the boundary between the bedroom and the bathroom. The double sinks are very exquisite, with a dry and wet separation design. The bedroom area offers a beautiful sunset view, and the hotel is one of the few in Beijing with a view of the Beijing Railway Station. The Club King Room is straightforward. The bathroom area is quite innovative, but the rest is not very interesting. To sum up, there is a price difference of about 2000 yuan between these two rooms, so you get what you pay for. Public Area Review: The main entrance gives a strong W vibe. The lobby bar area is designed like an outdoor bar, with interesting small private rooms. The sculptures and seating area near the downstairs staircase are very W-like. The B1 buffet restaurant area has a casual style, with interesting poker chairs and a large outdoor garden area. Additionally, the B2 conference area has a nightclub-style design. The second floor houses a Chinese restaurant, but I personally don't like the red decor with purple lighting. The private rooms are not very formal, and there is a wine bar, so guests might need to consider if the style suits them. The third floor has a gym and spa. The gym facilities are very new, and the pool is not large, but both areas are quite crowded. The spa facilities are standard and not particularly professional. The hotel's 23rd floor houses the lounge, located at the end of the floor. The small private rooms in the lounge offer a distant view of the CBD, with limited food options. The adjacent large private room is very beautiful, with a clear view, making it a good place for parties. Overall, even though the hotel is named Sofitel, its core is still W. Guests who like W will enjoy it, but if you prefer the French style of Sofitel and dislike the nightclub vibe, this might not be a good choice.
