Enjoy the natural and cultural landscapes at Heilongtan Scenic Area

"Pingshatan" is located in the Heilongtan Scenic Area of Miyun District, Beijing. The reason for its name is that the waterfall on the pond flows gently from a 30-degree slope of rock 5 meters away into a large pot-like pond with white sand at the bottom, covering an area of about 8 square meters. Due to the calm and clear water, it is thus named Pingshatan. In addition to natural landscapes, Heilongtan also has many man-made attractions, such as: the Shouting Spring, Stream Adventures, etc. Below Pingshatan, the "Colorful Animal Rock Paintings" are created by painting various animals on the rocks in the stream according to the terrain and the shape of the stones, adding a touch of childlike fun to the scenic area.
