Feels Like Heaven

#urbanexplorer #tripblazers #beijing The Qinian Pavilion at the centre of the Temple of Heaven Park is an incredible example of Ming dynasty architecture. The structure stands at 38 meters high with 4 inner pillars (representing the four seasons), 12 middle pillars (representing the twelve months) and 12 outer pillars (representing the twelve periods of a day). It was built for the emperors to pray to heaven for a good harvest and is now one of the most beautiful sights in Beijing.
