It was not until I arrived in Maerkang that I realized that the Zhuokeji tourist area is very large, and Xisuo Residence is one of its many attractions.

The houses here are built along the river and against the mountain, standing in an orderly manner on the hillside. When you walk on the bluestone path along the clear Suomo River, you will see the very beautiful Xisuo residential buildings next to you. They are all made of stacked stones. There are brightly colored patterns on the buildings. The roofs of the houses are covered with red tiles. The windows cleverly combine carving, painting, and coloring techniques, which are particularly beautiful! The houses here are like precious works of art.
