Casa Amatller - Modernist jewel in Barcelona

Standing right next to Gaudí’s famous Casa Batlló, there is a modernist architecture jewel that sometimes goes unnoticed: Casa Amatller. This building was designed by architect Josep Puig i Cadafalch as the residential home of the Amatller family, a wealthy Catalan family in the chocolate industry. That’s the reason why nowadays it is still possible to enjoy the chocolate creation of Amatller in the ground floor of the building, there is a cafe and chocolate shop.
