#vietnam Tu Viện Bát Nhã is a Buddhist monastery located in Bảo Lộc, Lâm Đồng Province, Vietnam. It was established in 1995 by Thích Đức Nghi, the abbot of the monastery. The monastery is situated on a hill and covers an area of approximately 30 hectares. It is known for its distinctive architecture with two curved roofs, which are reminiscent of East Asian design. The surrounding landscape features pine forests and tea plantations, creating a beautiful and serene atmosphere. One of the highlights of Tu Viện Bát Nhã is its golden shower trees (Schizolobium excelcium), also known as phượng vàng in Vietnamese. These trees bloom with vibrant yellow flowers during the summer months, attracting various species of birds and creating a stunning visual display. Please note that the golden shower tree at Tu Viện Bát Nhã is different from the yellow poinciana (Delonix regia var Flavida), which is another species of flowering tree in the same family. Tu Viện Bát Nhã is open to visitors from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM2. Admission is free, allowing visitors to explore the monastery’s grounds and enjoy its tranquil ambiance. The monastery is located approximately 17 kilometers away from the center of Bảo Lộc city.
