Jim Thompson House Museum: Explore Thai Art and History

A visit to the Jim Thompson House Museum is an illuminating cultural journey. Originally the private residence of American businessman Kim Thompson, the museum is now a showcase for traditional Thai architecture and art. The former residence combines Thai and Southeast Asian architectural styles and is full of a sense of history. The museum displays many exquisite Thai artworks, especially silk products, which gave me a deeper understanding of the history of Thai silk. Walking through Kim Thompson’s home, one feels the perfect combination of ancient Thai craftsmanship and modern design.
