#VisitBangkok Wat Phichaiyatikararam or Wat Phichaiyati is a second-class royal temple of the Worawihan sect, belonging to the Mahanikaya sect. It is located at the foot of Phut Bridge, Bangkok, in the area originally called Wongwian Lek, in Somdet Chao Phraya Subdistrict, Khlong San District. It is located on the bank of Khlong Ban Somdet Chao Phraya, Khlong San District. Wat Phichaiyati was originally an abandoned temple of Somdet Chao Phraya Borommaha Phichaiyati (That Bunnag), who was once the title of Phraya Si Phiphat Ratchakosa. It was renovated around 2372 - 2375 B.E. in the reign of King Rama III. It is a white temple decorated with a little gold, making it look clean. Inside the temple, there are important religious objects and permanent structures, including a large white three-spire prang, the ordination hall built in Chinese art, enshrining Phra Siddhartha or Luang Pho Somprathan, which is the principal Buddha image in the chapel, with a very beautiful Buddha image. People often come to pay homage. The atmosphere here is considered good, quiet, and very suitable for meditation.
