One Day in Bangkok: Chaos, Delicious Food, and Temples Bangkok overwhelms you from the very first minutes: humid air, the noise of the streets, and thousands of motorbikes everywhere. I started my morning with a cup of Thai milk tea and set off to explore the city. First stop—the Grand Palace. Golden temples, shining stupas, and elegant statues make it look almost unreal. Right next to it is the Temple of the Reclining Buddha, home to a massive 46-meter-long statue. In the afternoon, I escaped the heat at Terminal 21, a shopping mall where each floor is designed like a different country. Then, I hopped on a boat to cruise through Bangkok’s canals and see the city from another perspective. In the evening, I headed to the famous street market in Chinatown. Spicy tom yum, crispy pad thai, and fresh mango sticky rice—impossible to leave hungry! I ended the day at a rooftop bar, taking in the breathtaking night view of the city. Bangkok never sleeps, and I can’t wait to come back!
