Fun experience being around wax figures!

Of the many branches, the Madame Tussauds Museum that I have visited is the one in Hong Kong and Bangkok. It was a fun experience being around wax figures of your fave personalities. Did you know that each wax figures made at the Madame Tussauds Museum requires at least 250 measurements and photo shoots? And over a ton of wax and over 45,000 USD to pay 20 artists working hundreds of hours! All wax figures at the Madame Tussauds Museum are made twice as large as the original, as the wax will melt/shrink during the entire process. I was really lucky, when the wax figure of singer Anggun Cipta was unveiled at Madame Tussauds Bangkok in 2016, I had the opportunity to attend the grand launching. In fact, i got a super rare chance to take pictures together with the wax figure + the real person Anggun herself too! What an unforgettable experience! PS: It's better if you book the ticket online and come earlier too, so you can have lot of time to strike a pose with your idol from many angles! #summervacation#urbanexplorer

The Grand Palace
Bangkok, originally meaning "City of Angels", is known as the "Capital of Temples" and is the capital of Thailand, the land of the Yellow Robe Buddha. It is the political, economic, cultural, and transportation center of Thailand. Main attractions: City of Buddhist temples. Crocodile Lake Zheng Wang Temple (Liming Temple) Dacheng Kao Yai National Park The Grand Palace Madame Tussauds Bangkok Travel Tips 1. When coming out of the airport, if there are two or more people, it is recommended to take a taxi, preferably to the 4th floor. One person can choose to take a bus. 2. For those who don't have local currency, they can withdraw cash with UnionPay card on the 4th floor of the airport. The maximum amount per transaction is 20,000 baht, and the handling fee varies among different banks. It is recommended to consult the issuing bank before traveling. 3. When traveling, try to choose rail transit as much as possible, which can save a lot of time. The cost is relatively high for the tickets. If there is no light rail or subway in the destination, try to take a taxi or TUKTUK from the nearest station. 4. Try to take green or yellow taxis as they are more likely to use the meter. Red taxis usually refuse to use the meter. When taking a TUKTUK, negotiate the price beforehand if you have a rough idea of the distance, otherwise you may end up paying more. 5. Near the Temple of the Reclining Buddha and the Grand Palace, try not to talk to strangers as they may approach you pretending not to understand English and trick you into going to other small temples or shopping areas, leading to being deceived. There is a sign at the entrance of the Temple of the Reclining Buddha that reads "OPEN EVERY DAY." 6. If you choose to experience the waterway to the Grand Palace, be careful not to board the tourist boat at the pier. You should board the ferry with orange or yellow flags. Someone will collect the money when you board the ferry, which costs 13B per person and you will receive a ticket. 7. Bangkok has many large shopping malls, mostly concentrated around Siam and Ratchaprasong stations. There is a long pedestrian bridge connecting the two stations, so you don't have to cross the road and won't be exposed to the sun. Just like in Hong Kong, you can see the popular Erawan Shrine on the bridge. If you are a fan of shopping, it is recommended to reserve one to two full days for shopping, as it can be very tiring.
