#VisitSecondaryCity Khamchanod is located in Ban Dung District, Udon Thani Province. This is an island in the middle of the water filled with Chanod trees, said to grow only in this area. It is also believed to be the residence of the Naga Kings, Pu Sri Suttho and Ya Sri Pratumma. Many bai sri offerings are sold at the entrance to pay homage. There is a Naga-shaped bridge along the path to the island and tall Chanod trees, some of which have fallen over. Once you reach the shrine, there is a short walkway around the island. There is also a sacred pond where people often leave coins on the edge, a form of meditation.
