Pura Besakih

Pura Besakih is a Hindu temple considered the Mother of Temple in Bali. It consists of 23 smaller temples arranged in seven tiers along the hillside. The most important temple is Pura Penataran Agung, located in the center, identifiable by its multi-tiered roof, indicating its significance. The backdrop features Gunung Agung, the highest volcano in Bali. Inside the temple, there are numerous shrines and altars dedicated to the three main Hindu deities: Shiva, Sadashiva, and Parameshiva.
