🇱🇰 The Most Photographed Place in Ella

Type "Ella Sri Lanka" and I'm sure the majority of the images you see is the iconic Nine Arches Bridge, a viaduct train bridge built entirely of bricks and cement without any steel support. The 91-m bridge was built around 100 years ago to connect two hills during the construction of Kandy-Badulla railway. It has become a popular photo spot in recent years and most tourists will not miss the chance of walking along the bridge. There are also many other viewpoints around the area. We chose to stop by Asanka Cafe which overlooks the bridge from a higher ground. It is a family run cafe which serves simple drinks and snacks.
