Badajoz, the romance and tranquility of the ancient city at dusk

Badajoz is located on the border between Spain and Portugal. The city gradually developed during the Islamic period in the eighth century AD, and in the eleventh century it became a small Islamic country named Badajoz. The city's name is still used today. This border city is also the site of many fusions of Islam and Catholicism. When Portugal belonged to Spain from 1580 to 1640, it was also set as a temporary capital.
